Most Powerful Pictures of 2011

These photos were pretty amazing. It’s amazing how quick the stuff is that you forget, and how powerful the pictures are. You get a feel for the stories behind them almost instantly.  Quick reminder – if you’re trying to tell a story, get people emotionally involved, or just plain want to be effective, use images.  It’s amazing how many sermons, presentations, and lectures include nothing graphical (and I’ve been guilty a lot of this myself).  Seeing pictures like these reminds me how important imagery is, and how it speaks to the human heart.  Images can instantly make us feel happy, sad, hurt, angry, or excited.  They inspire passion, and bring us closer to action.

If you’re going to be talking in front of people at all in the next few months, remember to use images.  Look at the ones below, and check out the ones from the link.  Pay attention to the emotions you feel.  And most importantly, don’t forget the stories these images are telling.  They’re significant.

Here’s two that really stood out to me, but the whole list is impressive. Check out the link.
