Winging Your Strengths

This video is only 3 minutes, but it is well worth watching.  It’s Andy Stanley talking from Catalyst, and I think it’s one of the most important things that anyone in any organization needs to grasp.

  1. While I think this is true in an organization sense, I have seen some of the greatest works of the Spirit occur through people’s weakness made strong. There is a difference between the wisdom of man, and the foolishness of God.

    1. I agree, but think that’s slightly different. Unless you see something different, what I’ve seen is God using people despite their weaknesses, and him doing things like he did with Moses, using him in spite of the weakness of speech. Sometimes God even overcomes the weakness and makes it strong.

What I think is different here is the intentional effort to develop a weakness. I think that’s the point, don’t spend so much time on your weaknesses, use the areas that God’s gifted you in.
